GK-Lab Solvent Professional Use, High Evaporation Level, Non-Flammable, for A/C and Refrigeration Systems KryoNet Pro - 6x 1 litre metal canisters - 1,3 kg

KryoNet Pro is the non-flammable solvent (cleaning fluid) developed by Kryon. With its high degreasing power, it removes lubricant residues, moisture and oxidised oil deposits. Quick to evaporate, KryoNet Pro is a mixture of chlorinated molecules balanced for maximum cleaning performance.

It is also compatible for prolonged contact times with the following polymers used in refrigeration and air conditioning systems: PTFE, FEP, PFA.
It is compatible with Viton, although the latter may swell slightly under particularly harsh conditions: high temperature and pressure.
The solvent is not compatible with NBR, HNBR and EPDM. If you wish to use the solvent to wash refrigeration circuits containing NBR, HNBR or EPDM gaskets, the gaskets must be replaced once the refrigeration circuit has been washed. Viton gaskets should be replaced from time to time.

KryoNet Pro solvent is supplied in pressurised containers with nitrogen in 1 litre, 13.6 litre and 40 litre sizes. This packaging makes the solvent easy to use, allowing it to be fed at high speed into the refrigeration circuit. Once cleaning is complete, the circuit must be flushed promptly with nitrogen using nitrogen flow rates that generate passage speeds in the circuits of more than 6 m/sec. These speeds are characterised by high noise levels during nitrogen use.

KryoNet Pro solvent is also available in 1 litre, 5 litre and 15 litre cans. It can be used with refrigeration circuit washing equipment by recycling the solvent. Once washing is complete, the circuit must be flushed promptly with nitrogen using nitrogen flow rates that generate passage speeds in the circuits exceeding 6 m/sec. These speeds are characterised by high noise levels during nitrogen use.

Technical characteristics of KryoNet Pro solvent:
Boiling point: 40°C
Density: 1.32 g/cm3
Moderately polar
Heat of evaporation: 28 kJ/kg
The low boiling point and heat of evaporation make this solvent the best solution for extracting it from refrigeration circuits using vacuum pumps. Other solvents with high boiling points make extraction extremely long and difficult to achieve.

Important:

  • Washing the compressor: Do not wash the compressor unless strictly necessary; if you choose to wash the compressor with KryoNet Pro, be sure to replace all oil and seals, unless they are made of PTFE, FEP or PFA.
  • Washing valves, control devices, filters, etc.: If you choose to use KryoNet Pro to wash these devices, first check the compatibility of the seals. They must be made of PTFE, FEP and PFA. In this case, they are compatible with the solvent. If the seals are made of NBR, HNBR or EPDM, you can wash the device and then replace the seals with new ones.
  • Always consult the product safety data sheet before use and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (gloves, face masks and nose and mouth masks, etc.).

Instructions for use:
Use KryoNet PRO at an ambient temperature between 0°C and 40°C.

Washing using washing equipment for solvent circulation in the circuit or in the component to be washed - Liquid version in disposable containers of 1 litre, 5 litres and 15 litres.

  1. Load the product into the washing equipment.
  2. Disconnect the compressor from the circuit and any other component containing NBR, HNBR or EPDM seals or any other polymer other than PTFE (Teflon), FEP, PFA or Viton.
  3. Connect the equipment to the circuit or component to be washed.
  4. Circulate the solvent for at least 5 minutes for small systems or 10 minutes for larger systems.
  5. Finish washing by disconnecting the equipment from the circuit or component.
  6. Flush with nitrogen at high speed to push the solvent into a suitable container.
  7. Reconnect the components to the circuit.
  8. Perform a vacuum operation down to 50 mbar.
  9. Break the vacuum with nitrogen to 0 bar gauge pressure.
  10. Perform the vacuum again up to 1 mbar.
  11. Check that the circuit holds the vacuum.

If you decide to flush the circuit and it contains NBR, HNBR or EPDM seals, replace the seals with new ones once the circuit has been flushed. PTFE, FEP and PFA gaskets or seals are compatible; Viton gaskets are generally compatible; in some cases, they tend to swell slightly.

  • For small systems, a funnel can also be used to feed the solvent into the circuit or a container pressurised with low-pressure nitrogen. In this case, pay attention to the maximum working pressure of the container.
